About Community Housing Network

Community Housing Network is the only community-based agency in the Kansas City area that is devoted exclusively to providing affordable housing for people with chronic mental illness.

We serve a wide and diverse seven-county area, which includes Jackson, Clay, Cass, Johnson, Lafayette, Platte and Ray counties in the State of Missouri.

During the last 17 years, CHN has helped hundreds of families and individuals through the services we provide, including:

• Emergency shelter grants
• Rent subsidy management and development, including the Master Lease and Voucher Programs,
• And one of the most challenging undertakings for a non-profit: real estate development.
